I told you there was going to be a lot of news coming from Gamescom and I was right. Most of it being new game trailers. Since it's pretty hard to write what's in a trailer I figured I'll do all the searching for you and post all the good ones here.
Fable III
Dragon Age: Origins
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Mass Effect 2
Need for Speed Shift
Batman Arkham Asylum
Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles
Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier
Brutal Legend
Heavy Rain
Uncharted 2
There are loads more but those are the good ones. Except for a few small announcements there wasn't anything too surprising announced today. The biggest announcement was that Final Fantasy XIV Online won't be shipped on the 360 at the same time as the PS3 and PC versions. Square Enix producer Hiromichi Tanaka said its because the Xbox Live policy is different from the internet but that they are in discussions with Microsoft on a way to bring it to the 360. Square Enix also announced that Final Fantasy XIII will be shipped on PS3 and 360 at the same time next year. It will be the same in every way except the 360 version will be on three different discs whereas the PS3 version, because of its Blue-ray disc, will only be on one. Another small announcement was from Bethesda, the creators of Fallout 3. They have a new project in the works that they will give more details on at an event in New York for there upcoming game WET. The last bit of surprising news is really a lack of news. What I mean is everyone expected to hear something from Microsoft about a 360 price drop however they haven't mentioned anything about it. This is probably because of the Sony PS3 redesign and price drop announcement that stole the show. Thats all the interesting news hope you enjoyed the trailers, I know I did.
On a side note, Microsoft, Bungie and GameStop have a nationwide promotion going on for their upcoming game Halo 3: ODST. What they are doing is a nationwide tour in a custom built ODST-inspired transport vehicle with eight Xbox 360 consoles and plenty of leg room. They will be going to 22-cities starting in Seattle and ending in New York. They will be letting people get in the transport vehicle to play Halo 3: ODST. Here are all the stops and dates.
